Get your druggist to call your doctor for permission to switch to Metfromin which is the generic version This will be about $15.00 a month at most drug stores. However, if you go to Wall Mart, Target, Kmart, Hyvee, and many others who have joined the drug price war., Most will have it for 3 months supply for $10.00. Here is a trick to save on this and MOST drugs you buy... What you don't know is these prescriptions are the same price if you get the 500mg or 1000 mg version (example) Have your druggist ask your doctor for an okay for the larger size (same price) telling him you are getting a pill splitter. Then buy a pill splitter, ($5 most drug stores) cut the 1000 mg tablets in half and now you have 3 months Metformin for $5. instead of the much as $85 a month previous with Gougaphage. $255 for 3 months compared to $5. Now that tip alone should pay for your 3 year subscription. Use these three tricks, switch to Generic, Switch to a Store involved in the discount war, like Target, Walmart etc most $10.00 for 3 months supply of 80% of prescription drugs. (now also on many over the counter lowered to this also) Third, get a pill splitter and ask for a prescription for the largest size pill. That one alone will cut your meds bill in half. Better yet, get your body off this stuff... It knows how to keep you healthy if you work with it All meds have side effects that cause you problems your body can NOT fix.
